Chrysten Abraham is a passionate advocate for the Frankston community, dedicated to creating real change for the people who call this vibrant region home. Born in Melbourne’s outer eastern suburbs and having spent much of her adult life on the Mornington Peninsula, Chrysten has a deep connection to the area and a firsthand understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing local families, businesses, and communities.

Chrysten’s journey into politics began with a desire to make a difference. As an active member of a political party in Victoria, she quickly rose through the ranks, becoming the youngest member of the party’s executive. However, over time, Chrysten realised that party politics often clashed with the needs of the very communities she sought to represent. Frustrated by the growing focus on party loyalty and internal power struggles, she made the bold decision to leave the party and chart a new path—one that puts Frankston first.

In her own words:

Chrysten’s campaign is built on the issues that matter most to Frankston:

  • Safer roads and better infrastructure.
  • Supporting small businesses to thrive.
  • Improving schools and education opportunities.
  • Enhancing community safety.
  • Tackling the rising cost of living.

With a background in human resources and workplace relations, Chrysten brings a practical, solutions-focused approach to every challenge. She believes in listening to the community, fighting for what’s right, and delivering real, measurable outcomes.

When she’s not out meeting with locals or working on her campaign, Chrysten lives right in the heart of Frankston and enjoys spending time with her husband, Hayden, and their beloved border collie, Lacey. Whether it’s walking along the beach or exploring the beautiful parks of the Peninsula, Chrysten’s love for her community is at the heart of everything she does.

Chrysten Abraham is running as an Independent for Frankston because she believes it’s time for a representative who answers to the people, not a party.
